I grew up in Los Angeles in the 1980s, surrounded by parents who loved cinema. From the moment I first saw E.T. and Star Wars, I was mesmerized by the magic of storytelling. At 9, my grandmother had the vision to gift me a camcorder, encouraging me to explore my creativity and push boundaries. That gift changed everything and by my teenage years, I was making short films for friends and discovering the joy of crafting stories.

After high school, I began studying Culinary Arts at community college, but my path took a turn toward the liberal arts, eventually earning a degree in Geography with a specialization in GIS from Cal State Northridge. I loved analyzing data visually and uncovering relationships between demographics and geography. Yet, my passion for filmmaking and storytelling ultimately pulled me back, leading to a career in video editing, where I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the world’s biggest brands and agencies.

I’m currently taking my passion further by studying data science and machine learning at MIT. It feels like a full-circle moment, returning to the analytical roots I loved in GIS but with a focus on revolutionizing video editing through predictive modeling and automation. I believe the future of storytelling lies at the intersection of creativity and technology, and I’m excited to be part of shaping that future.

I live with my wife and son in Ojai, CA, and I intend to keep pushing the boundaries of creativity until my fingerbones dry out.
